DAY FOR IT FESTIVAL COVID SAFE INFORMATION

Day For It has not only curated an amazing and unique experience for guests, we are also working at the highest level of risk management to ensure compliance with COVID safe current best practise as indicated by Queensland Health. 

Queensland's roadmap to easing restrictions outlines which businesses can operate and what patron limits apply on premises, and in accordance Day For It has implemented a variety of strategies within the guidelines to ensure the health and safety of staff and guests.


BEFORE the event we are following all relevant QLD Health guidelines and policies, encouraging anyone with even the mildest symptoms to get tested and stay home. We have a WHS plan that reflects this and procedures in place to ensure we achieve the highest standards in cleaning, physical distancing and patron welfare for the weekend.


DURING Day For It Festival, our team will be vigilant in managing physical distancing and consistent cleaning of all areas within the wonderful site and surrounds. Ensuring all our guests at Day For It have the time of their lives is our goal, and we can only do this if we all follow a few simple guidelines.

AFTER the event, the organisers will be looking back over our strategies and policies to ensure Day For It did in fact reach our high standards and meet your expectations. This is a unique event in a unique time in history and as such we will be eagerly assessing what worked best for the future.

To keep everyone happy, healthy, and safely enjoying the event, Day For It needs to follow strict COVID Safe compliance. As such we are working with QLD Health to deliver an approved COVID safe event on April 24th, 2021.


What does that mean exactly? Well…. it’s all based around keeping our crew, workers and suppliers safe, and continuing to follow the new normal we now have in shops, businesses and other events. This includes:


• Enough event space and dance floor to keep everyone close but apart remembering we are all in this together

• Increased cleaning and sanitising of the event area.

• Health checks for suppliers, performers, and crew.

• Signage and ‘Social Distancing Officers’ to communicate requirements and other health messages.

• Hand sanitiser stations throughout the event area.

• Queue management strategies.

• Increased security in place to provide assistance.

• Ability to keep the day flexible if we need and manage crowd numbers on the day

• Attendee check-in details to assist with contact tracing.

• Pretty much everything will be spaced further apart.

• We’re asking everyone to work together to provide a COVIDSafe event – this includes the 6 measures below.

STAY HOME - If you are unwell and get tested

SAFE DISTANCING - Keep 1.5 m apart where possible

LISTEN -To any messages about COVID safety

DOWNLOAD - The COVID safe app before you come to the show

CHECK IN - Be sure to provide details for contact tracing when required

STOP THE SPREAD - Wash your hands, sanitize and cough into your elbow

 

Symptoms of COVID-19

Anyone who has symptoms of COVID-19, even if they are mild, must get tested.

Symptoms include:

Fever

Cough

Sore throat

Shortness of breath

Runny nose

Fatigue

Loss of smell and/or taste

Diarrhoea

Vomiting or nausea

Other symptoms people may experience include muscle or joint pain, and loss of appetite.


WHAT HAPPENS TO MY TICKET IF THE EVENT IS CANCELLED OR POSTPONED DUE TO COVID 19 RESTRICTIONS?
 

IN THE CASE OF POSTPONEMENT

If there are government restrictions in place that inhibit the event progressing in April 2021, the event will not be cancelled.

We will postpone and be ready to go later in the year!

Your ticket will be transferred & valid for the new dates.

If you cannot make this new date, you are entitled to receive a refund, minus booking fees.

IN THE CASE OF CAPACITY REDUCTIONS DUE TO HEALTH ADVICE

We have planned the festivals based on the best advice we have at the current time. If further restrictions on event capacity are applied to the event in April 2021, we will notify you by email.

1. First in best dressed – The first purchased tickets up to the allowable capacity = you’re in.

1. For those that miss out, you will be notified by email and your tickets will be automatically transferred to the next date – or you can apply for a refund (minus booking fees)

2. If we cannot deliver the full experience (e.g. restrictions such as enforced seating at the festival), we will move to the revised dates and all tickets will be automatically transferred.

If you cannot attend the new dates, you are entitled to a refund less booking fees. Can’t wait to see you!


THE EVENT IS POSTPONED, AND I CANNOT MAKE IT ON THAT DATE, WHAT DO I DO?

In a scenario of event postponement or capacity restrictions where you cannot transfer your ticket or have legitimate conflicts in doing so, please contact immediately.

WILL I NEED TO GO THROUGH HEALTH PROCEDURES TO ATTEND THE EVENT?

Yes, you can count on it. There will be legislative safety systems to complete / follow as part of your event journey like Contact Tracing & Ticket Validation, Entry Scheduling, Temperature Checking, Social Distancing, Onsite Sanitisation & Hygiene.

WHERE CAN I FIND COVID SAFETY PLAN AND INFORMATION?

We will be updating and date marking the information on our health management and safety. We will be sending you updates in the lead up to game day as well, so stay up to date and informed!

I AM FEELING SICK, HAVE SYMPTOMS OR HAVE TESTED POSITIVE FOR COVID 19, WHAT DO I DO?

If you have tested positive for COVID-19 or are waiting for a test result and are required to isolate, please contact us at hello@dayforitfestival.com and we will exchange your tickets for a future event. If a suitable event date cannot be found, then you may be eligible for a refund. If you have cold or flu like symptoms on the day you are due to attend the event, then please do not attend the venue. Please email hello@dayforitfestival.com and we will exchange your tickets into a future event or investigate your refund scenario. Provision of a COVID Test certificate or medical certificate will be required for validation of the above scenarios.
